Who’s In The Grass Is Travelling to Uganda

Over the next few months our book Who’s In The Grass Is travelling to Uganda.

Uganda is a landlocked country in East Africa. It is bordered on the east by Kenya, on the north by South Sudan, on the west by the Democratic Republic of the Congo, on the southwest by Rwanda, and on the south by Tanzania. Uganda is the second most populous landlocked country. The southern part of the country includes a substantial portion of Lake Victoria, shared with Kenya and Tanzania, situating the country in the African Great Lakes region. Uganda also lies within the Nile basin, and has a varied but generally equatorial climate.

Why Do We Donate Books to Uganda?

Uganda is amongst the poorest countries in the world.  English is one of the official languages and is widely spoken. It is taught in schools, but there is a severe shortage of books in both English and the local languages. In 2012 85,034 books were donated to Uganda by Book Aid International. and more than half of these were children’s books.

By donating Who’s In The Grass we will assist them in to their education and help by making a change in their lives.
